SSE-G24-TG4 (24 ports)
The SSE-G24-TG4 from Supermicro is a standalone 24-port Layer 2/Layer 3 1/10-Gigabit Ethernet switch. It offers a full suite of advanced Ethernet switching features – the same as in the Ethernet switch used in the Supermicro SuperBlade® server systems. Ports 21 through 24 are “combo” ports – each of them can be used for either an RJ45 connection or an SFP (1Gbps) connection. In addition to the 24 ports at 1-gigabit per second, the SSE-G24-TG4 offers up to four 10-gigabit per second “uplink ports”. Provisioned through one or two dual-port these uplink ports can be used to connect to 10-Gigabit Ethernet backbone networks or servers with 10-Gigabit Ethernet connectivity – or they can be “stacked” together to create an even larger capacity switch. Fiber or copper wiring options are available for the 10-Gigabit connections.
Offered in a 1U form factor, the SSE-G24-TG4 switch is ideal for use as a wiring closet aggregation switch, as a top-of-rack aggregation switch, or even as a core switch for a small business or branch office. A comprehensive set of management tools are available through either a Command Line Interface or through a Browser-based GUI.
